How to Reset Your Email Password

This article explains how to reset the password for your Rackspace email account, which is provided via our hosting partner, Cloudways.

For security reasons, we require that all email password reset requests are submitted via a support ticket. This ensures we can verify your identity before making changes to your account.

To Request a Password Reset:

  1. Please submit a New Support Ticket in the portal.
  2. Use the Subject line: "Email Password Reset Request."
  3. In the Description, please specify the email address for which you need the password reset.

What Happens Next

  • Once we receive your request, we will reset the password and send you a temporary password via the support ticket.
  • You will be required to log in to your webmail at https://apps.rackspace.com/ and change this temporary password to something only you know.
  • We aim to process all password reset requests within 4 business hours.

Important: Never share your password with anyone, including our staff. We will never ask you for your password in an email or on the phone.
